first blog on myspace..

well, it’s my day off today and i figured i would post a blog. it’s definitely been awhile since I’ve done this. first time i ever started an online journal was in 2000, and then i stopped at some point in 2001, and then started up again in 2003. I guess i work in spurts. Anyway, spring is finally here. I can tell because my allergies are starting to kick in. I’ve been so congested all day, it’s been difficult to enjoy my day off. I think many of us take senses for granted. I must say, that I woke up this morning without a sense of smell nor taste, and it’s been driving me crazy. 
I had every intention of working on music today but it can be so difficult to find inspiration when you don’t have one or more of your senses in tact. I’ve been feeling so contained and limited, it’s almost suffocating at times. I can’t imagine what it would be like to be blind, or not being able to hear. Then again, those whom are unfortunate to be born without sight or hearing, aren’t spoiled by the posession of those senses, so naturally they’re a lot more tuned into the senses that they do have. 
I went out on “the pier” this afternoon, under the warm sun and cool breeze, but the fact that I couldn’t smell the scent of spring ruined any hope of inspiration. I was hungry, so i ordered food and all I could taste was texture. One of the most unfulfilling meals i’ve had. Anyway, I have to work tomorrow, but hopefully i’ll feel better in the morning.
